Cassandra came up with the idea to create an herbal urban tea line to connect her community together holistically. As a child of Haitian immigrants, brewing loose leaf herbs from the grandmother's backyard was the norm. As she got older, creating specialty blends became a weekly regimine, but primarily to create blends that her grandmother enjoyed and could aid in pain relief and a rest from symptoms of Parkinsons Disease. Beyond her personal journey, she realized the gift that tea brings along with joy and togetherness. Connecting with a tea brand that connects with our local community and our value was difficult to find. Herb & Sip Tea Co. was created to foster love and bring warmth and a smile to your face. Cassandra is a financial member of the Chicagoland Food and Beverage Network and completed Certifications in Urban Argiculture. She also has Bachelor of Science in Communication from Millikin University with a focus on Public Relations. She also has a Master Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Cassandra loves spending time with her son, binge watching shows, and cooking for her family.
